Privacy

ABANA Privacy Policies
ABANA respects the privacy of its members and its website visitors, and we operate according to the following policies.

Personal Information
ABANA collects personal information including addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other information for membership enrollment, meeting registration and other similar transactions. ABANA makes internal use of its members’ contact information to inform them of events or services that may interest them. ABANA takes precautions to protect individuals’ information from any unauthorized use and does not disclose any of our members’ personal information to third parties without their consent, as detailed below.

Third-Party Mailings
ABANA does not disclose members’ contact information to third parties. If it deems invitations or announcements by other organizations to be of significant interest or benefit to our members, ABANA may, from time to time, allow such organizations to send materials to its members via ABANA’s contracted mailing house.

Privacy in the ABANA Membership Directory
ABANA members have exclusive access to a secure, online Membership Directory. Every effort is made to ensure that the information in the directory is held securely and in a manner that limits the threat of disclosure to parties beyond our control. Members have the ability to restrict what information is available to other members in the directory.

Access to and Use of Membership Directory
The ABANA Membership Directory is a service restricted to use by ABANA members and requiring a login and password. ABANA expects its members to use this information with good judgment and discretion. Use of the directory for mass marketing, direct solicitations or “spamming” is prohibited and can result in an immediate termination of benefits.

Cookies
A “cookie” is a file a website places in your computer for future reference. ABANA uses cookies to allow you to access members-only information, such as the directory, without logging in each time you visit the site from your own computer. To protect the privacy of your membership account, you should always log out after accessing the site from an insecure or public computer.

Credit Card Information
ABANA accepts credit card payments for membership and event payments. ABANA’s website does not save your credit card information. Your credit card information is saved by a third-party service provider that we use for credit card processing services and with which we maintain a written agreement to ensure appropriate security and confidentiality measures are in place to safeguard your personal and financial data. We will not authorize the release of your personal or financial information to anyone not directly involved in processing the transaction. This information may be encrypted and stored for logging purposes in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Credit card numbers are used only for processing payments and are not used for any other purposes. The third party service provider that we use to process your payments is Braintree, Inc. (www.braintreepayments.com), and the personal data that you provide relevant to payment processing is subject to Braintree’s security and privacy policies. Braintree is a validated Level 1 PCI DSS compliant service. For more information regarding the security of your personal information related to credit card processing, visit http://www.braintreepayments.com/security.

ABANA Membership dues are nonrefundable. See the event details for information about refunds of event attendance or sponsorship fees, which are generally non-refundable after a specified date.

Future Changes
ABANA reserves the right to change this policy in any manner at any time without prior notice. If we make material changes to our privacy policy, these changes will be posted on this page.
