This half-day program will focus on the Gulf states of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Presentations from guest speakers will offer insights into the economic climate for investment and expansion within the region, in addition to a presentation on what best practices US companies doing business abroad should keep in mind from compliance and risk mitigation perspectives, including as it relates to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other global anticorruption requirements. Members of Crowell & Moring’s MENA team, including lawyers from the firm’s offices in Riyadh and lawyers with experience in Qatar and the UAE, will look at some of the regulatory issues and challenges facing firms looking to invest or operate within the Gulf states.
