Mehdi Bendimerad is the founder and CEO of SPS, a company that specializes in building with new materials. Mehdi studied construction management in France and California and worked several years in the US before moving back to Algeria in 2000 to start his own business. He has been working to introduce and popularize other building materials through the concept "build different" and has worked with US companies on transferring technical manufacturing and construction know-how. SPS is certified ISO 9001/2008 for its quality management system and, in the past two years, has extended its production to the manufacture of metal sandwich panel and portable buildings. Since 2011, Mehdi has been a member of the Executive Committee of the FCE-Forum des Chefs d'Entreprise (the prominent employers' organization). He is a founding member of the Casbah Business Angels, Algeria's premier angel investor organization, launched in 2012 and Chair of the Algeria Local Chapter of Partners for a New Beginning's North Africa Partnership for Economic Opportunity.
