Barton Biggs is a Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager at Traxis Partners LP, an investment advisory firm founded in 2003 specializing in global, multi-asset class investment strategies with principal operations in New York City.

For thirty years, he was a managing director of Morgan Stanley, and he was the founder, former chairman and chief investment officer of Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He was also director of Global Research and a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the firm. From 1995 until 2002, Mr. Biggs was the number one ranked global strategist by the Institutional Investor magazine survey.

Barton Biggs received a BA from Yale University, served three years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps., and earned an MBA With Distinction from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is the chairman of the Riversville Foundation primarily dedicated to financing the college education of African Americans, and a trustee and member of the investment committee of the Said Trust.
