Tony Berbari is the General Manager of the New York Branch of Bank ABC (Arab Banking Corporation B.S.C) since 2013.    Prior to his appointment as General Manager, Mr. Berbari served as Head of Trade Finance and Relationship Manager for Bank ABC, initiating and developing business relationships with multi-national U.S. and Canadian companies at the Bahrain-headquartered bank.   While remaining focused on his primary regulatory, managerial and governance responsibilities, Mr. Berbari continues to develop business relationships on behalf of Bank ABC both in North America and throughout the Middle East & North Africa.

Prior to joining Bank ABC in 2007, Mr. Berbari worked in various roles with escalating responsibilities at other Arab World-linked financial institutions in NY, including Gulf International Bank B.S.C., Arab Bank PLC and Interaudi Bank.  Over his 20+ year banking career he has held positions across various management, front office, credit & risk, and administrative roles.  He was formally credit trained at Chase Manhattan Bank.   Mr. Berbari holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pace University.
