Omar Wohabe is a partner of Wohabe Law Offices LLP, in New York. The firm was established in 1971 to serve private-sector and public-sector clients from the Arab Gulf with respect to diverse domestic and international transactions and activities, and clients from other jurisdictions with respect to their business interests in the Gulf. Mr. Wohabe represents such clients principally in connection with investments in private equity, venture capital, real estate and other commercial transactions. Portions of these transactions are made in conformity with Islamic law. He also routinely advises clients on matters relating to fund formation and capital market transactions, and serves as outside general counsel to clients, generally in connection with investment transactions and commercial assignments, but also with respect to litigation, regulatory and compliance matters in the United States and Arab Gulf jurisdictions.

Mr. Wohabe is the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Bankers Association of North America (“ABANA”). He regularly organizes and presents at private and public conferences on the subject of Islamic investing and other topics of interest to Gulf investors.

Mr. Wohabe graduated from Williams College (B.A., 1985) and Cornell Law School (J.D., 1988), and is admitted to practice in New York.
