Harlan H. Simon, Chief Investment Officer, is involved in all aspects of Exemplar Capital portfolio management, including fund selection, monitoring and due diligence.
Mr. Simon was most recently an independent consultant, advising major international banks on derivative strategy. Previously, Mr. Simon served as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Bankers Trust Investment Management. His responsibilities included managing international fixed income portfolios as well as serving on the group’s investment strategy committee. Additionally, he developed eurodollar hedging programs that were adopted throughout the bank’s portfolios. He was also employed as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at FX Concepts, Inc where he traded foreign exchange portfolios as well as structuring multi-currency asset/liability programs. Mr. Simon commenced his financial career at BankAmerica International where he traded forward foreign exchange and domestic interest rate products.
Mr. Simon holds a B.S. in Economics from Columbia College and an MBA from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
