Sami Idliby, Managing Director at UBS, has over 25 years experience in the banking industry. During his last 10 years at UBS, he raised and managed a substantial portfolio invested in the full spectrum of asset classes and geographical markets. Besides actively managing the portfolio, he originated and participated in multi-billion dollar acquisitions of listed and non-listed securities. His client base is primarily Sovereign Funds and Family Offices located in the Middle East, Africa and India. Prior to UBS, Mr. Idilby worked for 8 years at Merrill Lynch, NY in the Wealth Management Division. At the beginning of his banking career, he worked for First City, Texas in the Corporate Finance Division.
Born in Damascus and raised in Beirut and Paris, Mr. Idilby holds a dual US and Omani citizenship. He is equally fluent in English, Arabic and French. After receiving his French Baccalaureate, he moved to the US where he received a BS in Finance from the American University in Washington, D.C. and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
